John Albert Mitchell John Albert Mitchell, 75, of Bishop, died May 7, 2010.

He was born May 23, 1934, to Kenneth and Clara Mitchell in Detroit, Mich.

Mitchell was a U.S. Air Force veteran and after serving his country for 23 years he retired as a Master Sergeant.

When he retired from the service he continued his career working with flight simulators and, finally retired from NAS Kingsville L3 Communications.

Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Janis Mitchell of Bishop, daughter, Lisa Kennedy of Midland; sons, Scott (Rosie) Mitchell of Lubbock, David (Maria) Mitchell of Phoenix, Ariz., grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother, and three sisters.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
