Shortly after 9 a.m. the general public and several troops came from Kingsville, Bishop, Alice and Corpus Christi all to support recycle day while enjoying free food, games, educational booths and plenty of crafts.
The event was sponsored by Girl Scouts, Keep Kingsville Beautiful, City of Kingsville Recycling Center, Macareno Signs, Kleberg County Parks and Recreation Departement.
Jody McIntosh stands with her children, Jack, Ben, Carter, Kylie and Avery McIntosh whom all showed deep interest at Recycle Kingsville Day’s Educational Booth as Girl Scouts Trainer Sandy Chisholm explains and shows the McIntosh family items that can be recycled including key chains made from tires, and biodegradable golf tees made from corn which allows for decomposer which in return helps keep our environment clean.
