Antonio L. Martinez, 87, of Falfurrias, died on Wednesday, May 26, in Kingsville.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1923, to Manuel Martinez and Paula Lozano Martinez.

He worked as a custodian for the Ed Rachel Public Library in Falfurrias.

Survivors include his wife, Mercedes Almaraz Martinez of Falfurrias; two sons Tony (Patsy) Martinez of Port Lavaca and Alonzo Martinez of Freeport; two daughters, Norma (Danny) DeAnda of Houston and Lidia (Sonny) Mirelez of Kingsville; one sister, Luz Turk of Houston; 12 grandchildren, 22 greatgrandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held May 28 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias.

A rosary was recited May 28 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a m. May 29 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
