Jose Rene Trevino, 52, of Pasadena, died on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, in Pasadena.

He worked for Hagemeyer Technical Services and was in the fire protection business for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Maria Arevalo Trevino of Pasadena; two sons, Jose Rene Trevino Jr. (Cynthia) and Miguel Angel Trevino, both of Pasadena; one daughter, Liza Marie Trevino (Jesus Roque) of Pasadena; mother, Disodora Buenrostro of Riviera; stepfather, Prajedis Buenrostro of Riviera; five brothers, Vicente Trevino Jr. and Robert Trevino (Mary Jane) of Riviera, Roel Trevino (Vilma) of Houston, Samuel Trevino (Susie) of Kingsville, and Alberto Buenrostro (Sheila) of Riviera; two sisters, Olga Martinez (Jorge) of Houston and Lucy Salazar (Joe) of Riviera; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A prayer service was held May 28 at The Alaniz Funeral Home in Falfurrias.

A funeral service was conducted May 29 at the First United Methodist Church in Falfurrias.

Burial followed at The Arevalo Family Cemetery.
