Seahawks celebrate year in sports

CROSS COUNTRY

Coach Joey Rendon handed out the cross country hardware. Ronnie Peralez was named as Most Valuable Male Player. Receiving the Most Valuable Female Player award was Savannah Stroman.

Coach Tiffany Machart gave out the awards for volleyball. Winning the Most Valuable Overall Player acknowledgement was Tina Gomez. Lauren Romero won the Defensive Most Valuable Player award. Sharla Irby was the recipient of the Offensive Most Valuable Player recognition. Rachel Robinson won the Lady Seahawk Fighting Heart award.

FOOTBALL

Coach Arturo de la Rosa presented the recognitions for football. The Most Valuable Overall Player award went to Wade Moore. Chris Foster and Adrian Caballero shared the Most Valuable Player award in the back-receiver position. Steven Salinas was selected as the Most Valuable Player on the offensive line. Eli Medellin was named as the Most Valuable Player on the defensive line. Brad Jameson took home the Defensive Most Valuable Player award. Ceasar Gomez was named Most Valuable Player in the linebacker-back category. Sharing the Seahawk Fighting Heart accolade were Brad Jameson and Matt Cumberland.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Coach Jimmy Canchola presented the awards for girls basketball. Mika Womack was the recipient of the Most Valuable Overall Player award. The Offensive Most Valuable Player recognition went to Alyssa Alarcon. Kiersten Bohanan won the Defensive Most Valuable Player award. The Lady Seahawk Fighting Heart award went to Clarissa Arguijo.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Coach Zane Graves presented the accolades in boys basketball. Heston Van Fleet was named Most Valuable Overall Player. Brad Jameson was selected as Offensive Most Valuable Player. Chris Foster won the Defensive Most Valuable Player accolade. The Seahawk Fighting Heart recognition went to Gilbert Arrollo.

POWER-LIFTING

Coach Robert McFarlin handed out the powerlifting hardware. Cody Salinas received the Most Valuable Male Player award. Jenna Gutierrez took home the Most Valuable Female Player recognition. The Seahawk Fighting Heart award went to Tony Ledesma. Adrian Arredondo was honored as this year’s Outstanding Senior. The Lady Seahawk Fighting Heart award went to Medelli Sandoval.

GIRLS GOLF

Coach Jimmy Canchola presented the awards in girls golf. The Most Valuable Player award went to the entire team of Brooke Hickey, Rachel Davis, Kaitlyn Polly and Shelby McFall.

BOYS GOLF

Coach Zane Graves honored the entire boys golf team with the Most Valuable Player accolade. On this year’s team were Forrest Irwin, Ryan McKee, Luc Davis, Brandon Walshak and Kyle Weiland.

BOYS AND GIRLS

TENNIS

Coaches Arthur Sholtis and Bitsy Hubert presented the tennis awards. Joseph Saavedra won the Most Valuable Male Player award. Kathleen Best, Rachel Davis and Alexandria Sholtis shared the Most Valuable Female Player award.

SOFTBALL

Coach Tiffany Machart gave out the awards for softball. The Most Valuable Overall Player hardware went to Sharla Irby. Kiersten Bohanan was named as Offensive Most Valuable Player. Clarissa Arguijo won the Defensive Most Valuable Player award. The Lady Seahawk Fighting Heart award went to Jody Suarez.

BASEBALL

Athletic Director Perry Graves presented the baseball acknowledgements. The Most Valuable Overall Player award went to J. D. Moya. Ricky Falcon was selected as Offensive Most Valuable Player. Wade Moore was named as Defensive Most Valuable Player. The Seahawk Fighting Heart accolade went to Steven Salinas.

BOYS AND GIRLS

TRACK

Coaches Cynthia Elmore and Joey Rendon presented the track and field accolades. Zachary McCollough was the recipient of the Most Valuable Male Player acknowledgement. Sarah Langbecker took home the Most Valuable Female Player award.

ATHLETIC

TRAINERS

Coach Robert McFarlin honored Gabby Taylor and Dean Williams as this year’s top student athletic trainers.
