IS THIS ANY WAY TO TREAT THE BOSS? — You’ve seen winning coaches get soaked with a cooler full of ice water or Gatorade dumped on their heads, but the Navy takes the traditional wetting down ceremony a step further. Pictured is Capt. Phil Waddingham, the commanding officer at Naval Air Station Kingsville, turning his head away from the spray of water from NAS fire trucks as he gets “wet down” following his final flight at NAS Kingsville Monday. Even his son, former Brahma football standout Luke Waddingham helped NAS Kingsville firefighters man the hose for the traditional wetting down following his father’s final flight. Capt. Waddingham will turn over command Friday, June 25 during an official change of command ceremony.
