Heather Ann Starry Robinette Custer Heather Ann Starry Robinette Custer Heather Ann Starry Robinette Custer, born June 17, 1974, passed away June 22, 2010 in Corpus Christi; beloved wife and best friend of William Jason Custer and loving caring mother to Hannah, Chaney, and Avery Custer. Her family meant everything to her. Heather was an inspiration to all during her battle with cancer. She showed courage and a sparkling smile to all who met and cared for her. Ever the cheerleader, she rallied those who loved her to have hope and faith that she would beat this disease. Heather left us much too early and we will always miss her. There will be an emptiness in our hearts for her always. Heather leaves behind dear friends too numerous to mention, who offered love, care and devotion till the end.

She was preceded in death by her fatherin law, William Chaney Custer; her birth father, Brady Glen Starry; one niece, Jennifer Raye Cave; her beloved aunt, Nancy Evelyn Snyder; grandparents, Clement and Helen Starry, Sr. and grandmother, Jimmie Adair.

She is survived by her husband of 16 years, William Jason Custer of Orange Grove; two daughters, Hannah Nicole and Avery Blayne Custer of Orange Grove; one son, William Chaney Custer of Orange Grove; mother and stepfather, Laurel Starry (Paul) Thomas of Flatonia; father and stepmother, Roy Charlie (Susie) Robinette; her beloved mother-in-law, Myrtle Custer of Alice; birth mother, Dianne Adair of North Carolina; one sister, Laura Lee (Eric) Ricks of Pleasanton; three half-sisters, Cathy (Lloyd) Chavez of Aurora, Co., Josie McPherson of Dallas, and Becky (Derek) Sellars of Henderson, Ky.; one brother, Roy (Sandy) Robinette of Sinton; two half brothers, Brandon Glen (Amy) Starry of Calallen and Jay (Amber) Adair of Louisville, Ky.; two special aunts, Pamela Adair and Pat (Chuck) Stansell of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Holmgreen Mortuary in Alice.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Alice. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. in George West Cemetery.
