Fourth of July celebration set
King’s Way Family Church, 1727 Senator Carlos Truan Blvd., will hold its first Family Fourth Freedom Celebration on Sunday, July 4.
Activities for children will begin at 3 p.m., including a 28 ft. rock climb, dry and water slides, a Noah’s ark, snow cones, cotton candy, and refreshments.
A ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. with a prayer for troops and the singing of the national anthem.
Adult foods including roasted corn, sausage on a stick, hotdogs, and frito pies will be served. According to Steven Solis, Youth Pastor and Christian Life Academy administrator, care package items will also be accepted to send to troops around the world.
The Fourth of July celebration is free to the public, and all children must be accompanied by an adult. No drop offs will be accepted.
