The J.R. Perez Elementary folklorico group participated in several successful events, recitals, and school performances this past school year including their 10th Annual Folklorico Recital on May 22 that drew in about 1,000 spectators.

Another huge event included performing at Fiesta Texas in San Antonio on May 28.

“We would like to thank all the parents, family members, Perez Elementary teachers, staff, and community supporters that made this year a successful and memorable year. Working as a team and putting children first is the number one priority for our student’s success,” Instructor Lucy Salinas-Contreras said.

The assistants are Diana Guerra, Nora Montemayor, and Ester Cisneros.
