ST. PAUL SPEED DRILL CHAMPS ANNOUNCED — Students at St. Paul Lutheran School are encouraged to learn their math facts through daily practice and drills. These students earned the title Speed Drill Champ for the last grading period of the 2009-2010 school year. A REMARKABLE READER — A couple of years ago Ayla Dale enrolled as a kindergarten student at St. Paul Lutheran School in Bishop. As a kindergarten student she was the third top reader that year reading over 360 books. Ayla has now finished the second grade at St. Paul. She has been the top reader for the past two years, reading well over 2,000 books and earning over 1,100 Accelerated Reading points.
FIRST STEPS IN READING — Kindergarten students at St. Paul Lutheran School were recognized for reading books and passing corresponding Accelerated Reading Tests during the 2009-2010 school year. They are each challenged to read 50 books during the school year. This year the kindergarten class read over 450 books and earned 207.2 accelerated reading points.
