It’s time to starting thinking about third annual ‘Designs for a Cure’
Planning is under way for the AWARE Department of the Woman’s Club of Kingsville third annual “Designs for a Cure” fund raiser to be held on Saturday, Sept. 25 at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville Union Building ballroom.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with viewing of the tables and a cocktail hour, followed at 7 p.m. with dinner catered by Javelina Catering of TAMUK. A live auction begins at 8 p.m.
All proceeds from the fund raiser will be donated directly to breast cancer research.
The 2010 Designs for a Cure project will focus on the Breast Cancer Metastasis Research of Dr. Anthony Lucci Jr. at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. These funds will be added to the prior $130,000 donated to the facility by the AWARE Department.
