The Kingsville Police Department and Kleberg County Sheriff’s K-9 unit searched a south side business early Friday afternoon, after an anonymous caller phoned in a bomb threat.

KPD called in the K-9 unit to search the building and nothing questionable was found.

Nearby businesses were cleared temporarily as a precaution and once it was determined that the threat was false, everything returned back to normal.

Police said there would be no formal investigation into who made the telephone call.
