Julia Canals Julia Canals, 81, of Kingsville died July 12, 2010.

She was born Jan. 12, 1929 to Cruz Olivarez and Eva Serna Olivarez.

Survivors include her children, Beatrice (Juan Jose) Gonzalez, Benito (Leticia) Canals, Gloria Daniels, Yolanda Hernandez of Boulder City, Nev., Josefa (Ignacio) Hinojosa, Angie Garcia and Angel (Mellisa) Canals Jr.; brother and sisters, Juan (Elena) Olivarez of Cotulla, Cruz (Hermelinda) Olivarez Jr., Elvira (Raul) Barrera and Eva Recio of La Feria; 14 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Rosary was recited on July 14 at the Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass was celebrated July 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial followed at the Resthaven Cemetery.
