The Kingsville Independent School District board members will consider hiring a new principal for H.M. King High School at a special meeting Thursday.

The special meeting will be held at noon Thursday in the KISD Administration Building Room, 207 North Third St.

The board will enter into closed session to consider employment of a high school principal, new employees and consider resignation of employees, according to the agenda posted on the KISD website.

Board members will return to open session to take necessary action on matters which the board may discuss and take action in open session.

Former H.M. King School principal Roel Gonzalez resigned his post earlier and accepted an administrative position with a nearby school district.
