King High Varsity Cheerleaders recently returned from a National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) summer camp. The camp was held at Our Lady of the Lake University – San Antonio and attracted over 380 cheerleaders from the surrounding area.

The H.M. King High Varsity cheerleaders received the following awards at the NCA camp: Spirit Award Winners, National Championship Bid Winners, and Spirit Stick Winners and The NCA Game Time Top Team.

As part of the four-day camp curriculum, the National Cheerleaders Association selects award winners at each of the over 1,000 camps it administers around the world each summer.

Awards are given for individual and team accomplishments. These awards are: All–American Team Members – Varsity Cheerleaders Alex Quinones, Jaqui Westbrook, Niki Westbrook, Gina Vasquez and Holly Gomez.

Varsity Cheerleaders Laci Bernal, Brittany Pena, Gina Vasquez, Niki Westbrook, Maddie Yaklin, Jaqui Westbrook, Holly Gomez, Kaylie Windham, Nina Munoz, Alex Quinones, Lauren Bunch, Chelsea Maldonado and Emily Pena.

The H.M. King JV Cheerleaders recently returned from the same National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) summer camp held at Our Lady of the Lake University – San Antonio and received the following awards at the NCA camp: National Championship Bid Winner and Spirit Stick Winners.
