LOCAL EDUCATORS ATTEND CONFERENCE
LOCAL EDUCATORS ATTEND CONFERENCE — Epiphany Episcopal School’s Head of School Peggy DeRouen and first grade teacher, Marisela Saldana, compare notes from the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching Conference they attended in San Antonio July 15 through July 17. The conference theme “A Recipe for Success: Teaching with All the Right Ingredients” focused on helping teachers find the right ingredients to help students become successful learners. The conference which drew elementary and secondary educators from all over the nation featured over 800 sessions on instructional best practices, assessment, technology integration, leadership, differentiated instruction and other “hot topics”. Also attending the conference from Epiphany School were Lilia Barbour, Amy Sanchez, Marisa Salazar and Mary Pena from Kingsville ISD.
