Lorenzo M. Gonzalez Lorenzo M. Gonzalez, 60, of Kingsville, died Thursday, July 29, 2010, in Corpus Christi.

He was born on Sept. 5, 1949, in Kingsville to Domingo Gonzalez and Lucia Perez Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was a former custodian employee for Texas A&M University- Kingsville.

He was an avid guitar and bass musician playing for such bands as Mike Chavez, Pio Trevino - Majic, Robert Garcia Show Band USA and Beto Leal Orchestra.

Lorenzo was a member of Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingsville Spanish West Congregation.

Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Estella Gonzalez of Kingsville; sister, Elida (Abel) Alcazar of Dallas; and three brothers, David Gonzalez and Felipe (Lilly) Rosas, both of Corpus Christi, and Perfecto (Carol) Mendietta of Chicago, Ill.

Visitation will take place from 3 until 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 2 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary with a service to be held that same evening at 6 p.m.

A funeral Discourse will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3 at the Turcotte-Piper Mortuary Chapel.

Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville.
