Harrel Elementary enforces uniforms
Harrel Elementary, consisting of prekindergarten 4, kindergarten and first grades, will now have a coordinated dress code for the first time during the 2010-2011 school year.
Students must be in compliance one week after school starts.
There will be a one-week grace period for students who enter late in the year.
In addition, all students must follow not only the Harrel Elementary Coordinated Dress Code, but also the district dress code.
The coordinated dress code will include the following:
A royal blue polo style shirt (short or long sleeve) will be required for all students. Shirts may have no logos or symbols and must be tucked in at all times.
Harrel Spirit shirts may be worn any day of the week.
Fridays will be designated as Black & Gold day; students have the option of wearing a Brahma shirt or black/gold shirt.
Khaki pants/khaki shorts/ khaki skirts will be required of all students.
Denim jean, baggy jeans, and cargo pants are not allowed.
Additionally, no glitter, no rhinestones or any other designs on jeans will be accepted.
Skirts must be kept knee length and pants/shorts/ skirts must be worn at the waist.
In addition to Harrel Elementary’s coordinated dress code, the following will also apply:
Belts will be mandatory for 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders and they must be always worn in waist size, no excessive length.
As a result of their destructive nature, metal cleats, taps, rollers/heelies, etc. will not be permitted on boots or shoes.
Sandals must have a strap for safety reasons therefore flip-flops or slip-on shoes are not allowed.
All coats and jackets must follow dress code as set by the school district dress code guidelines.
