Sneak peak at new Bishop High School
Bishop Consolidated Independent School District Superintendent Christina
Gutierrez, top photo, left, gives a tour of the new high school to Yolanda Cruz,
a member of the school district’s Facilities Committee who was instrumental
in helping pass the bond election to fund construction of the new high school.
Gutierrez showed Cruz all the features of the new facility, such as classrooms,
labs, library, eating area, band hall, auto mechanic shop, athletic area, and
administrative offices. Two construction workers, bottom photo, are finishing
up the outdoor covered eating area, and it will feature benches and tables for the
