Monday, August 23 RESIDENCE HALLS OPEN for the fall semester at 9 a.m. Members of the university community act as moving crew and assist residence hall students as they move in to their new home away from home. For more information, call 593- 3419.

Tuesday, August 24 GENERAL FACULTY AND STAFF MEETING will be held in Jones Auditorium. Refreshments will be served at 8 a m. and the meeting will begin at 8:30 a m. For more information, call 593-3108.

Wednesday, August 25 FIRST CLASS DAY for all regular students.

Saturday, August 28 FIRST CLASS DAY for Saturday students.

Wednesday, August 25, through Thursday, September 30 RAIN CLOUDS OVER MY ORANGE GROOVE, an exhibition by Chris Leonard “Leonardski” will be held in the Ben Bailey Art Gallery. An Artist reception, gallery talk and workshop will be held from 1 to 5 p m. Thursday, Sept. 23. The gallery is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information, call 593-2619.

Thursday, August 26 COMEDIAN BUZZ SUTHERLAND will perform at 7 p m. in the Memorial Student Union Building ballrooms. This is a Welcome Week event. For more information, call 593- 2760.

Friday, August 27 MOVIE NIGHT featuring Iron Man 2 with showings at 7 and 9:30 p.m. will be held in the Memorial Student Union Building ballrooms. Popcorn is free. This is a Welcome Week event. For more information, call 593- 2760.

Monday, August 30 LATE NIGHT SCAVENGER HUNT will be held at 9 p.m. beginning in the Memorial Student Union Building Game Room. This is a high-tech mobile phone scavenger hunt designed to give students a chance to become familiar with campus and make new friends. This is a Welcome Week event.
