Thirty Seconds to Mars Thirty Seconds to Mars Texas A&M University-Kingsville is one of just four campuses across the nation hosting the mtvU Campus Invasion Music Festival this year.

The concert will take place Wednesday, Sept. 29 on the TAMUK campus in the Mesquite Grove area, near the intersection of Corral Ave. and Retama St.

Thirty Seconds to Mars headlines the festival. The multi-platinum rock band recently received four MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) nominations, including Best Rock Video and Video of the Year, for the video to their song “Kings and Queens.”

Also performing are Neon Trees, who hit number three on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart for their song, “Animal,” and New Politics, whose single “Yeah Yeah Yeah” was highlighted as an intriguing track by USA Today.

Tickets are $20 for the general public (non- A&M-Kingsville students) and go on sale Friday, Aug. 20 online at javelinatickets.com.

Details on Texas A&M-Kingsville student tickets will be released August 25, the first day of fall classes; students are urged to wait until that announcement before purchasing tickets online.

The mtvU Campus Invasion Music Festival goes beyond music performances, with contests, giveaways, games and more.
