Riviera ISD announces lunch program for 2010-2011
The Riviera Independent School District has announced that it will take part in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program.
Application forms are being distributed to all households with a letter informing households of availability of free and reduced-priced meals for their children.
Applications are also available at the administration office in each school.
To apply for free and reduced-price meals, households must fill out the application and return it to the school. Applications may be submitted anytime during the school year.
Meals are served every school day. Students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade may purchase their meals each day or by the month at the cost of $1.75 for each lunch.
Students in grades sixth through 12th grade may purchase their meals at $2 a day. Breakfast is served in the classroom for grades kindergarten through 12th grade.
Meals are also available at the reduced-price: .40 cents for their lunch and .30 cents for breakfast.
Parents may apply to get free or reduced meals for their children by completing an application and returning it to the school. All applications must be complete before they can be approved.
