‘MONSTER’ BULL RED FISH CAUGHT — John Lee Wysack of Kingsville caught this 50.5 inch Bull Red fish on Aug. 6 at 11 p.m. on the Kenedy County shoreline in Baffin Bay. This monster was caught with cut mullet. It took 30 minutes to land using a Penn 109 on a six-foot sturdy stick with 20 pound test line. PRIZE CATCH — Adrian Garcia of Bishop took first place in the Corpus Christi Law Enforcement Fishing Tournament (CCLEFT) held Saturday, August 14. The awards ceremony was held at the Briscoe King Pavilion Center near Bob Hall Pier. Fishing was open to all waters in the area. The prize fish was caught in Baffin Bay near Riviera.
