Coach Artie, Arturito De La Rosa is the perfect example of the American Dream. He is an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He is an inspiration to all who want to give up on finishing school or to further their education. This man set a goal for his future, which was to achieve his education and coaching certificate, and with many years of struggle between being a husband, father, coach’s aid and school, he finally achieved his goal. Something to be proud of and admired in such a dedicated caring and sensitive man.

In 1999, the field house was named after Gumencindo De La Rosa, Coach Artie’s brother, honoring him as a hero who gave his life for his country. Now in 2010, the football field is dedicated to and named after another hero, Arturo De La Rosa, who has given his whole life to coaching and the education of all children.

It is an honor to be part of your family on your mother’s side, God Bless her soul. She’s looking down on you with a proud heart, as we all are. We are proud of you, Arturito. May God bless you and keep you.
