Driscoll school board honored with reception

The Driscoll ISD Board of Trustees was honored recently with a reception for all the time consuming and complex work they do on behalf of Driscoll students.

January was designated as School Board Appreciation Month, but the Driscoll School Board members are appreciated year round officials said.

Students created cards for each trustee, and teachers and staff expressed their appreciation for the tireless work and advocacy they regularly complete for the district.

“Our trustees are a unique group, each so committed to providing the best education possible for our Driscoll students.

They are unified in their mission and so giving of their time and resources to make Driscoll the quality school district it is today. We are all so appreciative of everything they do,” Driscoll Superintendent Cynthia M. Garcia said.

Each trustee was also given a pair of sunglasses decorated by Driscoll staff to go along with the theme “Makin’ Our Students’ Futures So Bright, We Gotta Wear Shades.”
