Loraine Franklin Loraine Franklin, age 80, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 24, 1931 in Charco to James and Thelma (Young) Williams of Kingsville. On Aug. 14, 1952 Loraine married the love of her life Darold Franklin in Kingsville. Loraine graduated from Texas A&I with a BS in Elementary Education. She taught as a fifth grade teacher for the Clear Creek ISD in Seabrook for 30 years before her retirement in 1986. Loraine spent 59 wonderful years married to Darold and was a gracious and loving wife and mother to her family. She leaves with us a legacy of friendship, love, and passion for life.

Survivors include her husband Darold Franklin of Georgetown; son, Jimmy Franklin of Katy, his children Sarah Franklin of Houston and Andrew Franklin of San Francisco, California; daughter, Becky Hormann of Seabrook, her children Alex and Rachel Hormann of Seabrook; her daughter,

Jane Ann Salazar of Austin and her children Spencer and Trent Spilman of Austin; and her sister Epsie Jane Vaughter of Kingsville.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 in the chapel of Ramsey Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Robertson officiating.
