H.M. King High School’s varsity boys basketball team lost to Corpus Christi Ray, 51-40, on Tuesday. Giancarlo Bruschetta (14 points) and John Houston (eight) led their team in scoring.

“Overall, I felt that the guys played good enough to win,” Head Coach Karron Taylor said. “It just came down to some key plays in the fourth quarter where we did not execute offensively, which I think was the difference in the ball game.”

The Brahmas junior varsity boys basketball teams team lost to C.C. Ray, 79-38. Jeremy Vasquez led his team in scoring with nine points.

HMK’s freshman boys basketball team lost to C.C. Ray, 56-19. Mason Copeland led the Bulls with six points.

H.M. King’s freshman, junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams host Alice at 5 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. All three teams visit Corpus Christi Moody at 5 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bishop High School’s junior varsity and varsity girls basketball teams conclude their regular season by hosting Banquete at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Riviera-Kaufer High School’s junior varsity and varsity girls basketball teams conclude their regular season by hosting Santa Gertrudis Academy at 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. De La Paz Middle School’s girls basketball team visits Santa Gertrudis Junior High School at 5 p.m. on Thursday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Bishop High School’s freshman, junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams host Banquete at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. All three teams host San Diego at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Riviera-Kaufer High School’s junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams host Santa Gertrudis Academy at 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams host Premont at 5 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Friday. De La Paz Middle School’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams visit Santa Gertrudis Junior High School at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday.

Santa Gertrudis Academy High School’s junior varsity and varsity boys basketball teams visit Riviera-Kaufer at 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams visit Brownsville Frontier at 5 p.m. on Friday. Santa Gertrudis Junior High School’s seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams finish their season by hosting De La Paz Middle School at 5 p.m. on Monday.
