Beto’s Community Store serves generations of families over half a century

Beto’s Community Store continues to serves loyal customers from generations of families since 1967. The historic store represents a heritage of treating its customers like family. Beto’s remains the icon cornerstone in the neighborhood, and reflects the admirable success of the Alberto Garza family members.

“The toddlers that used to come to the store are now grandparents bringing in their grandchildren,” said Juan R. Garza, store owner.

I actually grew up being a patron at Beto's since I lived few blocks away on Lee Street. I always went to King High School with Chubby and also dated Beto's niece (Mary G.).
