Officials at the Bishop Consolidated Independent School District announced possible exposure of a COVID-19 in their facilities.

“BCISD once again had someone enter our facilities this week on Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23 and that person had a positive COVID test today,” officials said in a statement.

“Exposed personnel have been contacted and will be testing ASAP. The exposed employee and potential exposures must not enter any BCISD buildings until the exposed employee produces a negative test result or for 14 daye, whichever comes first. We are taking all levels of exposures seriously in an effort to protect our school community. Please continue to follow CDC Guidelines and stay safe!”

BCISD Superintendent Christina Gutierrez said the school board meeting on Monday is still planned to take place as scheduled, unless otherwise announced in the next few days.
