Hazard pay, the city tax rate and new computer dispatch software for city police highlighted the Bishop City Council meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

At the meeting, the Bishop City Council approved a $1.50 per hour hazard pay increase for all of its employees. Under the CARES Act, the city received a federal grant of well over $100,000 which allows the city discretion in paying for employees, vital supplies and other matters.
