Christopher honored for service to Lions

On June 30, District Governor David Christopher of Kingsville completed his one-year term as leader of South Texas Lions District 2-A3, which includes 55 clubs and 1,200 members in 13 counties bounded by Rockport, Brownsville and Zapata. At the Texas Lions State Convention held recently in Waxahachie, Christopher received the “Helping Hands” Lions Clubs International Foundation Award for his part in mobilizing $1.5 million of LCIF disaster aid to South and East Texas Communities following the Hurricane Harvey wind and flood event. Christopher follows past district governors Dr. Harry Wickersham (1981-82) and Anse Windham (2011-12) as having served Texas District 2-A3 as district governor from the Kingsville Noon Lions Club.
