Kaufer BPA students headed to state

Kaufer Early College High School’s Business Professionals of America competed at the Area 2, Region 1 BPA Regional Leadership Conference on Saturday, January 11 at Calallen High School. The results are listed below:

Sophomore Ethan Gonzalez placed fifth in Graphic Design Promotion and is a state alternate.

Sophomore Wendy Nelson placed second in Fundamental Word Processing Skills to qualify for state.

Sophomore Zailey Flannery placed first in Fundamental Accounting to qualify for state.

Freshman Riana Trevino placed first in Interview Skills to qualify for state.

Freshman Gianna Cantu placed fourth in Fundamental Spreadsheet to qualify for state.

Senior Selina Molina placed third in Advanced Word Processing Skills to qualify for state.

Junior Jack Mayberry placed first in JAVA Programming and second in Administrative Support Team, qualifying in state for both. Jack is also the new Area 2 Region 1 President for the 2020-21 school year.

Junior Sierra Solis placed first in Fundamental Desktop Publishing to qualify for state.

Junior Zandra Garcia placed second in Administrative Support Team to qualify for state. Zandra is also the outgoing 2019-2020 Area 2, Region 1 President. Her leadership position will come to an end in Dallas at the State Leadership Conference.

Senior Raven Girgan placed second and qualified for state in both Intermediate Word Processing Skills and Administrative Support Team.

Freshman Daniel Girgan placed third in Personal Financial Management to qualify for state.

State qualifiers will compete in Dallas at the BPA State Leadership Conference starting March 4.
