Kingsville residents needing to dispose of their Christmas tree can do so free of charge as the City of Kingsville’s Public Words Department will collect trees to recycle into mulch through Jan. 27.

Tree disposal will be located in a designated parking lot at the Public Works Department located at 1300 E. Corral Ave.

While there is no charge for the service, residents are asked to remove all ornaments and lights from the Christmas tree prior to disposal.

Residents may bring the trees to the Public Works Building at any time, which will then be recycled as mulch that will be available, free to the public.

The city has offered this service for several years.
