9-11 Memorial Stair Climb:  Air Station Sailors and civilian staff members participated in the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to honor the fallen firefighters, police officers, and civilians who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on New York’s World Trade Center.

Many of the participants wore weighted vests to simulate full firefighting gear.  Each walked 2,200 steps over a pre-determined coarse; the equivalent of the 110 stories of the Trade Center buildings.
