The Kingsville ISD Board of trustees unanimously voted to approve extending Superintendent Dr. Cissy Reynolds- Perez contract for another two years at their regular meeting held Nov. 16.  She was hired on a two-year contract term August 2020. Dr. Reynolds-Perez contract would have ended August 2022 but has now been extended for two more years.

After returning from the closed session, Brian Coufal said based on the superintendent’s evaluation and the fact “there was much to be done; much has been done and much left to be done.” Coufal made the motion to extend another two-year term with a second by Delma Salinas. A roll call followed with Coufal, Salinas, Cory Garza, James Glusing, David Garcia, Elizabeth Ramos, and Lt. Col. Steven Crites voting yes. Ramos said she had been waiting a year to say yes and Col Crites said, absolutely, when his name was called to vote. The extended contract includes a three percent pay increase.
