Kingsville Noon Lions award eight scholarships to students

On Monday, June 24, the Kingsville Noon Lions Club awarded eight scholarships to students at their annual banquet. In partnership with the Celanese Future Leaders Employees Resource Group, four scholarships of $1,000 each, with matching funds from Texas A&M University-Kingsville, were awarded to McKenzie Nicole Davila, Mariah Sierra Mercado, Meina Determan and Nadyne Hernandez. All are 2019 graduates of H.M. King High School. Three scholarships of $1,000 each, with matching funds from TAMUK, were awarded to Victoria Aimee Garza and Joshua Macareno from H.M. King and Gabriel Platas from Academy High School. This year’s $500 Lion Anse Windham Scholarship to Coastal Bend College was awarded to 2019 H.M. King graduate Angel Jimenez. This is the third year the Celanese employee group has partnered with the club for scholarships.
