America’s Last Patrol, Inc. invites the public to celebrate Veterans Day at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Last Patrol Ranch located four miles east of Benavides on Hwy. 359.

The organization gathers at the Last Patrol Ranch every Veterans Day to honor all veterans that have served their country. This year’s Veterans Day ceremony speaker will be Mgst. Luis Vargas, U.S. Army Retired, 5th Special Forces Group-Vietnam from Brandon, Miss. The Patriots Band and Honor Guard from Corpus Christi will provide military music, a 21-gun salute, Taps and post the colors.

This year, the organization will place 10 names of veterans on the Memorial Walls during the ceremony: ADR1 Charles R. Arras (U.S. Navy, Corpus Christi), SP4 Joaquin A. DeLa Garza (U.S. Army, Kingsville), Pvt. Hector Gallegos (U.S. Army, Robstown), PFC Anastacio Moreno (U.S. Army, Bluntzer), PV2 Librado Maldonado Jr. (U.S. Army, Kingsville), PR3 Daniel G. Cavazos (U.S. Navy – KIA USS Forestal CVA-59, Mercedes), Sgt. Humberto Garcia (USMC, Kingsville), Pvt. Manuel M. Salinas (U.S. Army, Falfurrias), Cpl. Charles M. Fowle (U.S. Army, Columbus, Ohio) and 2LT Johnny K. Crovers (U.S. Army – KIA Iraq, McKinny).
