Soliz awarded $1,000 memorial scholarship

H.M. King High School senior Danyel Gloria Soliz received the 2019 Arnold Arguijo Memorial Law Enforcement Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 during the high school’s senior achievement award ceremony held on May 20.

The scholarship has been awarded annually since 2011 to qualifying seniors in memory of former Kleberg County Pct. 1 Constable Arnold Arguijo, who passed away in 2010. Arguijo served as a county constable for 20 years before his retirement. Pictured are Alma Arguilo-Hernandez, Soliz, Alicia Arguijo and Eduardo “Lalo” Martinez.
