Kleberg County showed its patriotism on Veteran’s Day last Thursday by hosting a myriad of events from Riviera all the way to Bishop.

At 9 a.m., over 40 veterans attended a parade in their honor at the Kaufer Early College High School football field. Youngsters in Kindergarten and first grade paraded across the football field dressed in patriotic and military garb. Then the students from every grade sang a song to the vets, including Yankee Doodle, Your a Grand Old Flag, This Land is Your Land and the songs of the various service branches.
