Weavers of Love holds fundraiser

The Weavers of Love Board of Directors, Sister Elizabeth and the organization’s volunteers recently thanked the community for helping with a successful fundraiser in September. Organizers said the Knights of Columbus and the ACTS Mission members from St. Gertrude the Great Church donated the use of their hall, cooked the beans, made 150 pounds of  potato salad and cooked the brisket under the supervision of David Longoria. Other individuals organizers thanked included County Judge Rudy Madrid, Sheriff Richard Kirkpatrick and Pct. 1 County Commissioner David Rosse, members of the Kingsville Community and St. Gertrude Cub Scouts, Pack 140. Organizers said H-E-B also made a sizeable donation in gift cards.
