Alfredo Garcia

Kingsville – Alfredo Garcia passed away Dec. 23, 2020. He was 76.

Alfredo was born on May 30, 1944 in Pearsall, Texas to Alberto and Hortencia (Davila) Garcia. 

Alfredo was born and raised in Pearsall, Texas and later moved to Kingsville, Texas where he spent the rest of his life. 

Alfredo worked as a butcher at Jake’s Meat Market for 45 years. He was also a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Alfredo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding in death are his parents: Alberto and Hortencia Garcia; brothers, Santiago “Jimmy” Garcia, Rodolfo Ponce and his twin, Antonio D. Garcia.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Fuentes Garcia of Kingsville; sons, Alfredo Garcia, Jr. (Vikki) of Alice and Daniel Garcia (Veronica) of Corpus Christi; daughters, Nancy Morales of Corpus Christi, Iris Gutierrez (Bonney) of Odem and Delma Macias (Raymond) of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, 3 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home, Sinton. 

Recitation of the Holy Rosary was held the same evening 7 p.m. at the funeral home. 

The funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Odem. Burial will follow in San Pedro Cemetery, Odem.
