Avelino Y. “Kojak” Erebia

Avelino Y. “Kojak” Erebia, 77, a resident of Kingsville, died Sept. 18, 2019 in Kingsville.

He was born on July 10, 1942 in Falfurrias, to Faustino and Catalina Erebia.

He retired with the City of Kingsville in the Street Department. He was also an avid Chicago Bears football fan.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Don Erebia Sr.

Survivors include one brother, Faustino Erebia Jr. of Kingsville; three sisters, Alicia Carrera of Kingsville, Olga De La Rosa of Kingsville and Angie Donley of Eagle Pass; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A religious service was held on Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A graveside service was held on Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at Chamberlain Cemetery.
