Darla Diana Elsik

Darla Diane Elsik (Kocian), 56, of Georgetown, Texas departed this world to join our Heavenly Father on October 29, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Rita Kocian. She is survived by her loving husband of 21 years, Dewey Elsik; two sons, Ryan and Cooper; four siblings, Mike (Susan), Donna, David (Karen) and Debbie (Larry); and her nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Darla was born in Corpus Christi, TX on September 29, 1965, and graduated from Richard King High School in 1984. Darla was a successful travel agent for over 35 years, in addition to being a dedicated wife and mother. 

The youngest of five siblings, Darla learned to handle whatever was thrown at her. She brought love, laughter, and liveliness to her childhood home – energy she carried with her throughout her life. 

Darla was a kind and fun-loving person who could light up a room with her infectious smile and sense of humor, and always brought generosity and compassion to everyone around her. Darla was a devoted wife and mother whose family brought her great joy. She loved travelling with her family and taking an active role her sons’ education and activities. Darla will be remembered for always putting her family first and making sure they knew how much she loved them. 

Visitation for family and friends was held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, Texas on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m.
