Delma Jean Soza

Delma Jean Soza, 57, from Bishop, died on Oct. 23, 2019 in Corpus Christi.

She was born on May 27, 1962 in Kingsville.

She was formerly employed as a teacher’s aide with the Kingsville Independent School District, and was also a member of St. James Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jean Soza.

Survivors include one daughter, Vanessa N. (John) Hinojosa of San Antonio; one son, Christopher L. (Vanessa) Pena of San Diego, Calif.; mother, Nicolasa G. Soza, and father, Raymond Soza both of Bishop; fiancé, Rudy Ramirez of Bishop; two brothers, Ray (Veronica) Soza of Corpus Christi and Rene (Nora) Soza of Edingburg; nine grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Rosary were held on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019 at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.

A Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019 at St. James Catholic Church in Bishop.

A cremation followed and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
