Jonathan Austin Schonefeld

Jonathan Austin Schonefeld, 34, passed away on Aug. 16, 2020 in Kingsville after a long illness.  He was born on Aug. 22, 1985 in Kingsville to Jay A. Schonefeld and Lisa Cannon Schonefeld.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert W. (Billy Bob) Cannon; his paternal grandfather John F. Schonefeld and his aunt, Lynn Cannon Nollkamper.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Alyssa Ritter Schonefeld, of New Braunfels; his father, Jay A. Schonefeld of Kingsville; his mother, Lisa Cannon Schonefeld of Kingsville, his sister Jerrell (William) Diaz of Midfield; and one niece, Jillian Diaz of Midfield.  He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Ernestine Schonefeld of Kyle; his maternal grandmother, June Cannon, of Kingsville; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless very good friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct.24, 2020 at First Baptist Church. A gathering will take place after the service in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Donate Life America at  Having been an organ recipient, he was a firm believer in organ donation.  

Services are entrusted to Turcotte-Piper Mortuary, 205 General Cavazos Blvd. Kingsville, Texas 78363.
