Pedro M. Saenz

Pedro M. Saenz, age 91, of Kingsville went to be with the Lord on Sept. 26, 2020.  He was born on Aug. 28, 1929 on the King Ranch in Kingsville to Alejandro Saenz and Julia M. Saenz.  

Mr. Saenz served in the Army for three years as a PFC T1.  He worked 11 years with Missouri Pacific Railroad then began a career with the United States Postal Service until his retirement in 1988.  He was the Vice President and Co-owner of S&S Abstract & Title Company.  

After his retirement, he looked forward to daily gatherings with his coffee buddies.  He also enjoyed fishing, repairing lawnmowers and tending to his rental properties.

His favorite saying was “Work Hard and Save Your Money”.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He will be dearly missed by all.  

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alejandro and Julia M. Saenz; a son, Samuel S. Saenz; brother, Alejandro H. Saenz; sister, Hilda S. Guerra.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margarita S. Saenz;  their children, Victor S. Saenz (Anna), Wilma Saenz-Grover (Tom), Peter R. Saenz (Viola) and daughter-in-law, Sally Saenz; brother, Romeo Saenz (Irma); two sisters Amparo Villarreal (Lee), and Alicia S. Garza (Ovidio), nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020 at Kingsville Memorial Funeral Home Chapel.  A graveside service was celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct.1, 2020 at Santa Gertrudis Cemetery.

Victor - I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Father. He was a good man and he will be up there with Sam. Death the way I look at it is not Good Bye but until we meet again. God Bless to all!
