Roel Sanchez Sr

Roel Sanchez Sr., 68, of Kingsville, TX passed away May 6, 2023, in Kingsville, TX. He was born on May 5, 1955, in Kingsville, TX to Jose Juan (Guadalupe) Sanchez. 

He was a retired electrician/director of physical plant at Texas A & M Kingsville. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. 

He was preceded in death by one son, Juan Gilberto Sanchez; one sister, Diana A. Sanchez; and three brothers, Jose G. Sanchez Jr., Raul V. Sanchez, and Jesus Jaime Sanchez.

Survivors include one daughter, Amelia (Israel) Rojas of Kingsville; one son, Roel (Nicole) Sanchez Jr. of Lubbock; three sisters, Gloria (Jesus) Ramirez of Kingsville, Emma Sanchez of Kingsville, and Rosa Canales (Rey) of Corpus Christi; eight grandchildren, Roel III, Maximus, Levi, Alina, Avery, Avalynn, Frankie, Ivette; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. at Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home, with a Rosary at 7 p.m.

A Funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Paulson officiating.

Burial will follow at Chamberlain Cemetery. Arramgements under the direction of Ramirez-Salinas Funeral Home.
