Stella Baldillez

Stella Baldillez, 81, beloved Mother, was called to her eternal resting place on Jan. 10, 2021. She entered this world on August 7, 1939 in Berclair, born to Martin Garcia and Marcelina Morales Garcia. 

She graduated from Goliad High School in 1958, where she was a member of the Tiger Band. She was a bookkeeper and retired from NAS-Kingsville in 2011 after 29 years of civilian service. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Daniel Garcia and David Garcia; sister-in-law Rosemary Garcia and her former husband, Baldimar Baldillez. 

Stella is survived by her son Andrew (Janie) Baldillez, daughter Amy (Ted) Harp; brothers Gaspar (Juanita) Garcia, Hilberto Garcia, Ramon (Martha) Garcia; sister Delia (Juan) Vela; sister-in-laws Angie Garcia and Wilma Garcia; grandson David Moreno and granddaughters Michelle Pennell, Kaitlyn Harp and Alexa Harp. 

Stella also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and cousins as she was a part of a very large and close family. She will be deeply missed by her longtime companion, Luis Ortiz Jr. 

Stella’s family would like to thank Roselyn Vertil and the staff at Serenity Assisted Living for their care and compassion shown during her stay with them. 

Services will be private.
