How far have we really come in girl’s athletics? Is South Texas doing the best possible job in promoting girl’s sports? How do programs across Texas which continually advance to state playoffs, develop their programs differently? Should school officials, local media and community groups supports girl’s sports in an equal manner compared to boy’s programs? If you say yes, why are you, the tax paying public not saying something more about the minimal support shown to girl’s sports? Where are all of you equitable and “woke” people? Is equality only important when it occurs on national news during a riot?

Without a doubt school districts have more positions available in athletics than ever before. Many athletic directors do not teach nor coach. What are the qualifications and duties for an AD who doesn’t coach nor teach? Does this person have a master’s degree with a standard administrative principal certificate? Seems plausible since the AD is getting administrator pay.
