To the Editor,

I was dismayed after reading the Our Opinion piece in the September 10 Kingsville Record titled “Calling soldiers suckers and losers is inexcusable. I served proudly as a doctor who volunteered for active duty during Operation Desert Storm in the U.S. Army Medical Corps, and I remained in the Army Reserve for more than 20 years. I agree wholeheartedly with you that our men our women in the Armed Forces, especially those who have died in action or were held as prisoners of war, should not be called losers or suckers.
